Chris Colfer has confirmed he will appear in the fourth series of Glee.
The actor was one of several cast members, such as Lea Michele rumoured to be lined up for their own spin-off after their characters were written out of Glee. It emerged over the weekend though that Fox are not perusing a spin-off from Glee and those characters due to graduate at the end of the show’s third season will remain part of the series.
Kevin Reilly, Fox’s entertainment president, confirmed actress Lea Michele would remain part of the Glee cast but declined to state whether actor Chris Colfer, who plays gay teen Kurt, would return for the fourth season or not. That led to some speculation over the actor’s future.
The actor has now confirmed he will be a part of the fourth series. Colfer told The Insider ‘I’m coming back. I’m very excited. A lot of people are sad there won’t be a spinoff but I think they’re going to be very, very excited to find out what’s in store – I’m very excited by it. Ryan’s idea is kind of revolutionary…It’s the best of both worlds. Everyone is going to like it’
Fellow cast member Corey Monteith, also rumoured as being part of the proposed spin-off, has confirmed he will return for the fourth season.
