Harry Derbidge and Maria Fowler quit The Only Way is Essex

Harry Derbidge and Maria Fowler have confirmed they have quit ITV2‘s The Only Way is Essex.

Derbidge had already expressed a desire to leave the ITV2 series and follow in the footsteps of Amy Childs by landing his own series. In a tweet to his followers on Twitter he wrote ‘Hiya! I really did not want you to all find out so soon but its out there, I am not in TOWIE anymore as I am moving onto different things.’

Maria Fowler also confirmed her exit from TOWIE via Twitter writing ‘I Would like to be the first to announce… After a rollercoaster year and after meeting with producers today we have decided that my time on TOWIE has come to an end’

The pair are the latest stars of The Only Way is Essex to quit. Amy Childs left the series to appear in Celebrity Big Brother and has since landed her own Channel Five series. The next to quit was Mark Wright who went on to appear in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Kirk Norcross has also quit to appear in the current series of Celebrity Big Brother and other TOWIE ‘stars’ have hinted they too may leave.
