ABC‘s new cross-dressing comedy Work It, which has already been criticised by organisations such as GLAAD, got off to a fairly weak start on Tuesday evening.
At 8pm a brand new episode of NCIS on CBS had 20 million viewers overall with a 4.2 18-49 rating which is up on its last original episode in December. Last Man Standing on ABC had 7.8 million viewers with a 2.4 rating. It was followed by the premier of new comedy Work It which has a cross-dressing theme as two male friends dress up as women in order to secure themselves work. The comedy has already drawn criticism from GLAAD and other organisations. It’s premier on ABC attracted 6.1 million viewers with a 2.0 18-49 rating so not exactly off to a flying start. The Biggest Loser on NBC had 6.4 million viewers with a 2.3 rating while a repeat of Glee on Fox had 2.4 million viewers and a 0.9 rating and The CW’s repeat of The Secret Circle had 998,000 viewers.
At 9pm NCIS: Los Angeles returned to CBS with 17 million viewers and a 3.5 18-49 rating – also a rise on its last original episode in December. Fox continued its repeats with New Girl which had 3 million viewers followed by Raising Hope with 2.2 million viewers. Another repeat of supernatural witchy drama The Secret Circle on The CW had 716,000 viewers. Celebrity Wife Swap on ABC had 6 million viewers and a 2.2 rating.
At 10pm Dana Delany and Jeri Ryan drama Body of Proof had 6.9 million viewers which is down on the 7.2 million viewers who tuned in for the last episode in December. It had a 1.5 rating in the all important 18-49 rating which was also down on the previous episode. Parenthood on NBC had 4.9 million viewers with a 1.7 rating and Unforgettable on CBS had 11.6 million viewers and a 2.5 rating.
