Marc Cherry shoots down Desperate Housewives movie idea
Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry has shot down the possibility of a feature length movie following its television finale.
The soapy drama is currently in its eighth and final season but any plans to continue the series beyond that ending have seemingly been shot down by creator Marc Cherry. Speaking at the Television Critics Association’s winter tour the writer said there would be no films, no spin-offs and no sequels ‘Boy, after eight years, I think we’re done’ he’s quoted as saying by the Hollywood Reporter. Unlike Sex and the City the women of Wisteria Lane will not be heading for a new life on the big-screen as Cherry said ‘I’m just never sending these gals to Dubai, that’s all I’m saying’
