The CW is reportedly in talks to pick up Canadian drama The L.A Complex for a possible summer slot.
According to The Hollywood Reporter the broadcaster is in talks to acquire the Canadian drama from CTV. The soapy drama, likened to Melrose Place, would likely air on The CW during the summer as it seeks to bump up its line-up of scripted productions. The drama stars Jonathan Patrick Moore (of Aussie soaps All Saints and Neighbours) and Cassie Steele (of Canadian drama Degrassi).
The L.A Complex revolves around a Toronto girl with dreams of going all the way to Hollywood. So far only six episodes of the drama have been ordered but if CTV order more The CW is likely to pick up those episodes as well.
