Jack Wagner to leave The Bold and the Beautiful
Jack Wagner has become the latest actor not to have his contract renewed on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.
“We have just learned that Jack Wagner’s option on his two-year contract has not been picked up with The Bold and the Beautiful,” web site announced. “We do not know if he will be leaving the show or staying on recurring basis, but with his lack of storyline in recent years, we highly doubt we will be seeing much more of Nick Marone.” – statement on the WagnerWorld.com
The actor plays Nick Marone on the Los Angeles based series and has been part of the cast since 2003. However, on his official website it has been stated that the performer’s contract has not been renewed.
The move isn’t all that surprising as last month Wagner’s co-star Lesley Anne-Down, who plays his on-screen mother Jackie Payne-Marone, had been dropped from the regular cast. It is still unclear whether Down will continue on The Bold and the Beautiful in a recurring basis – it is also unclear whether Wagner will continue in the same capacity either.
Wagner’s character of Nick Marone has certainly had an eye for the ladies during his time on the soap; especially Logan ladies. Nick was married to Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) but had an affair with her mother Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) before moving on to her sister Katie (Heather Tom).
