Garrow’s Law axed
BBC One historical drama Garrow’s Law, starring Andrew Buchan, has been axed after three seasons.
The historical legal drama was created by Tony Marchant and was based on a real 18th century lawyer. The series starred Andrew Buchan, Alun Armstrong and Lyndsey Marshall and its most recent series aired during the Autumn attracting over 4 million viewers against the X Factor.
However, the Radio Times reports that Garrow’s Law will not be returning for a fourth season. The drama is the latest to be axed by BBC One controller Danny Cohen whose previous victims include fellow Sunday evening dramas Zen and Lark Rise to Candleford – the ending of which prompted a huge outcry for audiences. Last week it was revealed Waking the Dead spin-off The Body Farm, which starred Tara Fitzgerald and Keith Allen, had also been axed.
