NBC delays The Munsters remake

The MunstersNBC is reportedly delaying its remake of The Munsters.

The broadcaster has taken out the pilot for The Munsters reboot, now titled Mockingbird Lane, from the autumn schedule for 2012-2013 reports Variety. The remake of the classic 1960s sitcom has been in development for some time with Bryan Fuller, of ABC‘s quirky drama Pushing Daisies, currently helming the project. The reboot would be a “dramatic re-invention” of the franchise rather than a comedy as per the original. Variety reports the pilot has been delayed to allow extra time to finalise it with filming delayed until the Summer.
