Rupert Murdoch was given a ‘royal’ tour of the Wapping offices today as he announced Sun on Sunday to launch ‘very soon’.

The CEO of News Corporation Rupert Murdoch arrived in the UK to reassure staff following a turbulent week which seen five journalists arrested last Saturday. There had been fears that Murdoch was flying in axe the paper but he has assured staff today that this is not the case.

Before he toured the offices at the News International HQ in Wapping, East London a memo was sent to all staff reaffirming his position relating to ongoing investigations and that a Sun on Sunday would be launched ‘very soon’.

Murdoch was joined by his son Lachlan to tour the Sun offices in what some have said seemed like a ‘royal touring a hospital’. While this was going on the Media Guardian reported that some senior staff at The Sun still intend on taking legal action against News Corp.
