Let's Dance for Sport Relief launches with over 6 million viewers

Let's Dance for Sport ReliefLet’s Dance for Sport Relief launched on BBC One last night with over 6 million viewers with celebrities taking part in last night’s first heat including EastEnders actresses Tameka Empson and Laurie Brett.

The opening instalment of the celebrity charity dance series pulled in an impressive 6.5 million viewers for BBC One, more or less on par with previous seasons. Following Let’s Dance for Sport Relief was lottery show Who Dares Wins with 5.3 million viewers while medical drama Casualty also had 5.3 million viewers.

ITV‘s Saturday evening line-up suffered somewhat with You’ve Been Framed seen by 3.7 million viewers while Harry Hill’s TV Burp had 4.2 million viewers. Dating series Take Me Out fell back to 4.8 million viewers last night. The Jonathan Ross Show meanwhile had 3.2 million viewers.
