General Hospital ratings rise

General HospitalABC soap General Hospital saw its ratings rise for the week of the 20th February.

The rise follows two weeks of record low ratings and any rise in ratings is good but for the soap to secure its long-term future the ratings need to continue to rise each week. General Hospital looks increasingly vulnerable especially as it is the last remaining daytime serial on ABC and the broadcaster axed All My Children and the well rated One Life to Live in one swing of the axe last year. General Hospital‘s ratings rose to 2.3 million viewers for the week of the 20th of February but was still down by half a million viewers on last year.

Elsewhere The Young and the Restless, as ever, dominated the ratings with an average of 4.5 million viewers while sister CBS soap The Bold and the Beautiful was second with 3 million viewers while NBC’s Days of our Lives had 2.4 million viewers on average.
