Lorraine Kelly speaks about horse-riding accident

Breakfast favourite Lorraine Kelly phoned-in to her own show yesterday to speak about her horse-riding accident.

Its been three weeks since Lorraine fell from a horse during lessons. During a phone-call yesterday morning to ‘Lorraine’ show she spoke to Nadia Sawalha to reveal all about the accident.

“It was a complete accident, it wasn’t the horse’s fault but I did lose an awful lot of blood – about 3 pints in all and I was rushed to hospital.”

She went on to say that she thinks she lost around 3 pints of blood in total and praised the NHS saying it was them at their “finest”. Lorraine was taking lessons to take part in a charity event.

“My leg was in a bit of a state as you know. And then I was in hospital for about a week and after a couple of days my blood count kept going down so they had to give me a transfusion but I managed to get out after a week.”

It’s not known yet when Lorraine will be returning to her breakfast show.
