Media reports: Rebekah Brooks one of six arrested today
Former News International chief executive Rebekah Brooks was one of those arrested this morning by officers from Operation Weeting.
According to various news reports from the BBC and Sky, they understand that Brooks and her husband Charlie were arrested at their home in Oxfordshire this morning.
Police officers from Operation Weeting, who are investigating allegations that journalists hacked into voicemail boxes, arrested six people between 5am and 7am across various counties.
The Met Police say that they were all arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
This is the second time that Brooks has been arrested by officers from Operation Weeting. She was arrested last year on suspicion to intercept communications and allegations of corruption.
