Rugby player becomes Crimewatch presenter
Former England rugby union player Martin Bayfield is to join Crimewatch as a presenter, the BBC announce.
Bayfield will work alongside main presenter Kirsty Young and Matthew Amroliwala on the monthly crime programme on BBC One.
He has served as a police officer in the Metropolitan and Bedfordshire forces as well as playing rugby for England, Northampton Saints and Bedford Blues. Since quitting rugby he has become a regular sport commentator for BBC Sport coverage and co-anchored ITV Rugby World Cup coverage in 2007 and 2011.
His first Crimewatch presenting duty will be on Tuesday 20th March.
