The Bold and the Beautiful to film episodes in Italy

CBS soap The Bold and the Beautiful is to film a string of episodes in Italy later this Spring.

The fashion orientated soap is heading to Italy in May to film around ten episodes in the Puglia region of the Mediterranean country. CBS Soaps in Depth report the filming will take place in and around the Masseria San Domenico and Borgo Egnazia resorts in early May. At least five cast members will take part in the location filming though so far only Katherine Lang Kelly (Brooke Logan) and Ronn Moss (Ridge Forrester) have been confirmed.

It’s not the first time that The Bold and the Beautiful has filmed scenes in Italy, in fact its the fourth. The Los Angeles based series has previously filmed in Italy in 1997, 1999 and 2002 in locations such as Venice and Portofino. The Bold and the Beautiful has also filmed episodes in Sydney, Australia and Mexico as well.

The new Italian scenes will be broadcast in America in late Spring though Italian fans will have to wait until next year to few the episodes. The Bold and the Beautiful is hugely popular in Italy and in countries across the world as it continues to be the most watched daytime soap with an estimated daily audience of 30 million viewers. It’s mix of sex, mystery, plotting, fashion and dangerous liaisons continues to make it immensely popular.
