Whoopi Goldberg and Lindsay Lohan to guest with Glee

The View, ABC AmericaFox music-drama Glee has signed up television presenter and film star Whoopi Goldberg and actress, pop singer and model Lindsay Lohan.

Goldberg, currently a presenter on American talk show The View, is best known for her roles in blockbuster movies Ghost and Sister Act has signed up for number of episodes the Hollywood Reporter states.

Academy Award winner Goldberg will play, a former theatre star turned professor, Carmen Tibideaux at at New York school which some of the Glee regulars have applied to enrol with.

Its reported Whoopi will appear in at least three episodes of the teenage series and will appear on American screens in May.

The programme has also, according to TVLine, hired Lindsay Lohan to appear in the season finale. Fox producers are said to be in final negotiations with the star who recently signed up to play Elizabeth Taylor in a movie depicting the late actresses life.

If Lohan signs the contract she will play herself in Glee. An insider told TVLine that the ‘tabloid queen’ will appear as a talent judge. Previous judges have included Grease actress, and singer, Olivia Newton-John.

Lohan last appeared in a scripted production in 2008 and has been in the press for ‘all the wrong reasons’ over the past few years which has been blamed on a party lifestyle.
