Abercrombie & Fitch launch ‘homoerotic’ promotional video

American sportswear brand Abercrombie & Fitch have launched a new promotional campaign by Bruce Weber which contains mild male erotica.

The brand, often shortened to A&F, appears to aim at the ‘Preppy’ market with a fashion range that wouldn’t look out of place on the ‘geeks’ in the movie Grease.

However to inject some heat into a geek-fest the company has hired photographer Bruce Weber to create an erotic feel to their latest promotions.

The monochrome sequence ticks all the clichéd’ homoerotic boxes with men partially clothed washing in public showers, scenes of slow motion head shaking, provocative poses, pouting, close-up of hands and a little bit of wresting. The promo has been ‘bigged up’ for containing two men kissing, but its not mouth-to-mouth full-on action by any means.

Entitled, in seemingly a tribute to ‘Carry On movie innuendo‘, Other Sports Require One Ball the sequence is just one of four videos which so far haven’t gone down overly well on You Tube thus far.

“I think what this ad is trying to say is; If you buy Abercrombie and Fitch merchandise, attractive young men will come into your shower and wrestle each other in an erotic fashion.” Said ChaoticSupernova.

While Susceptibility06 added, “It’s probably better that James Brown didn’t live to see this.” In reference to the music track used.

“There were clothes in this ad? Really? A&F get on my tits.” Said KehBay and JesseJamesRice noted, “I’ll never understand the A&F look…man bodies with child faces”
