Lacey Turner to lead cast of ITV2 drama Switch
Lacey Turner is to lead the cast of ITV2’s new supernatural drama Switch about a coven of modern-day witches.
ITV2 is returning to the supernatural drama genre once more with a brand new series starring Lacey Turner. The former EastEnders actress will lead the cast of Switch; a drama about modern day witches living in London. Turner will play the role of Stella an ‘immaculately dressed’ careerist.
Joining Turner in the new ITV2 drama will be Nina Toussaint-White who played Syd in EastEnders in 2009. The actress also had a memorable role in Doctor Who last year playing Mels, aka a young Melody Pond, in Let’s Killer Hitler. In Switch the actress will play Jude. Former Hollyoaks actress Hannah Tointon will play Hannah and Black Mirror actress Phoebe Fox will play Grace.
The new witchy drama has been written by Prisoners’ Wives writer Chloe Moss and Secret Diary of a Call Girl writer Tim Price. ITV2 has ordered six episodes of Switch which will go into production in April.
The role in Switch will be Lacey Turner’s second supernatural drama this year. It was previously announced that Turner was joining the cast of Sky Living’s Bedlam for its re-tooled second series.
