Olly Murs confirms Xtra Factor return

Olly Murs has confirmed on Twitter that he will be returning to the Xtra Factor later this year.

Murs was widely expected to return to the Xtra Factor as co-presenter when it returns to ITV2 later this year. The singer and previous X Factor hopeful took to Twitter to tell his fans of his planned return ‘So just to clear up.. DEFINITELY doing Xtra Factor again this year, just need to sign on the dotted line and just work out my dates!’

ITV has yet to announce the presenting line-up for this year’s Xtra Factor but it is now expected that both Murs and Caroline Flack will return. The Xtra Factor, companion show to ITV1’s titan the X Factor, has had several presenters over the course its run so far. Flack and Murs became presenters last year replacing Konnie Hug who was the presenter for the 2010 series but met with a mixed reaction from viewers. The original presenter was Ben Shephard who left in 2006 and was first replaced by Fearne Cotton and then by Holly Willoughby for two seasons.
