Familiar faces audition for The Voice

A former 80’s pop star and a number of X Factor rejects will feature tomorrow on The Voice.

The Sun newspaper claims that five of the eleven contestants at the blind auditions are already known to audiences. Denise Pearson, who was part of 80’s band Five Star will take to the stage hoping that her voice alone with impress the mentors.

The Voice launched last week on BBC One and attracted over 8 million viewers. The show’s selling point is that it is all about ‘the voice’ as the mentors have their backs to the contestant when they sing. They can then press the buzzer if they like what they hear and see who is singing.

West End singer Kerry Ellis and three former X Factor rejects will hope they have what it takes. They have to impress the four mentors made up of Jessie J, Sir Tom Jones, wili.i.am and Danny O’Donoghue.
