Malese Jow joins J.J Abrams pilot Shelter

Vampire Diaries actress Malese Jow has been cast in J.J Abrams forthcoming CW pilot Shelter.

The pilot, also penned by One Tree Hill‘s Mark Schawahn, is set in a New England resort called Shelter Bay Inn. Actress Malese Jow has been cast in the pilot in the role of Morgan, the resort’s party girl. Zachary Abel has also been cast in Shelter as former baseball player Michael reports Deadline.

Malese Jow is probably best known for her role of vampire Anna on the first and third season of fellow CW drama series The Vampire Diaries. The character was killed off in the season one finale but revived, as a ghost, for the third season. The actress’s other roles include appearances in Desperate Housewives, Big Time Rush, CSI: Miami, Hannah Montana and daytime soap The Young and the Restless.
