Channel 5 sign new deal to keep Big Brother
Channel 5 have announced they have signed a new two-year deal with Endemol UK to broadcast Big Brother.Channel 5 bought the reality TV format in 2011 a year after the ‘final’ episode on Channel 4, where it had aired for ten years. They have confirmed that another celebrity version will air in the summer following the traditional version of Big Brother which is also due back in its normal summer slot. Last year Channel 5 aired Big Brother 12 from September – November.
Former Big Brother winner Brian Dowling will return to present the live programmes and Emma Willis will continue to host the spin-off show Bit On The Side. Voiceover Marcus Bentley will also be returning to narrate the highlight shows.

The show so far has captivated the energy and vibrancy of the channel and we are looking forward to continuing this successful relationship.”
The new deal announced today means Big Brother will be on Channel 5 until 2014.
