Dana Delany to return to Desperate Housewives for final episode

Dana Delany will make her much anticipated return to ABC’s soapy drama Desperate Housewives in its final episode.

It was announced last November that Dana Delany would be amongst the actors returning to Desperate Housewives ahead of its grand finale – other actors have included Kyle MacLachlan and Andrea Bowen. Since news of Delany’s return fans have awaited the return of her character to Wisteria Lane and now the wait is nearly over.
TV Line report that Delany will reprise her role of Katherine Mayfair in Desperate Housewives final episode. The final episode is due to air on 13th May in America but the circumstances which will see Katherine return to Wisteria Lane have yet to be revealed. TV Line report that actress Julie Benz, who played Katherine’s lesbian lover Robin, is not due to appear in the episode.
Katherine Mayfair certainly had an eventful time on Wisteria Lane from setting up business with Bree (Marcia Cross) to falling in love with Mike Delfino (James Denton). Katherine became unhinged though when Mike got back together with ex-wife Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher) but later found happiness with lodger turned lover Robin who she went on a very long holiday with near the end of the sixth season.
