CBS to air ‘60 Minutes’ tribute to Mike Wallace this Sunday

CBS has announced that it will air a special next Sunday to remember veteran broadcaster Mike Wallace who died on Saturday.

Mike Wallace, who was one of the original reporters for CBS news magazine show 60 Minutes, died last Saturday aged 93. The network has announced that this coming edition on Sunday will be a special tribute show to Wallace.

Fellow journalists and broadcasters took to Twitter to pay their respects. CNN anchor Anderson Cooper said he was “true legend”. ABC Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts called his stories on 60 Minutes “exceptional”.

His son, Chris Wallace, is currently presenter of political programme Fox News Sunday.
