The Voice beats CBS comedies in Monday's ratings battle
NBC‘s The Voice managed to beat CBS comedies, usually ratings titans, on Monday evening as Two and a Half Men sank to a season low.
The NBC series had the better of several CBS comedies last night in the ratings battle. At 8pm The Voice pulled in 10.0 million viewers with a 3.7 18-49 rating meaning it won the hour. However, it was ABC‘s Dancing with the Stars which had more viewers overall with 15.3 million viewers but a lower 2.7 rating. In terms of 18-49 viewers CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother was second for the hour with a 3.4 rating with 7.9 million viewers overall followed by 2 Broke Girls which had the same 18-49 rating but had a slightly higher 8.7 million viewers overall. On Fox at 8pm drama Bones had 7.3 million viewers with a 2.1 rating while teen drama Gossip Girl on The CW pulled in 1 million viewers with a 0.5 rating.
At 9pm The Voice once again dominated the hour in terms of 18-49 figures with a 4.2 rating but had 10.7 million viewers meaning ABC’s Dancing with the Stars once again had more total viewers with 16.8 million but had a 3.1 rating. Two and a Half Men dropped to a season low with 10.3 million viewers and a 3.5 rating followed by Mike & Molly with 9.5 million viewers and a 3.2 18-49 rating. Medical drama House on Fox continued its final season with 6 million viewers and a 2.0 rating while Hart of Dixie on The CW mustered 1.1 million viewers and a 0.5 rating.
At 10pm ABC decided to repeat Scandal which pulled in 6.7 million viewers and a 1.3 rating while Hawaii Five-0 on CBS had 10.1 million viewers with a 2.6 rating while musical drama Smash on NBC had 6 million viewers with a 2.1 rating.
