Hunger Games actor to be honoured by GLAAD
Josh Hutcherson, who is amongst the cast of Box Office hit The Hunger Games, is to be recognised for his pro-gay equality work.Hunger Games actor Josh Hutcherson is to receive the GLAAD Vanguard Award for his pro-gay equality stance. The 19 year old actor will receive the award at the 23rd annual GLAAD awards in Los Angeles. The actor has recently revealed he got involved in gay equality work after two of his uncles died from AIDS.
Hutcherson is the co-fonder of the Straight But Not Narrow campaign which encourages straight men to show support for gay equality – effectively building a gay/straight alliance. High profile faces to have recorded messages for the Straight But Not Narrow campaign include Hutcherson himself as well as Cory Monteith and Avan Jogia.
