Small rise in ratings for Ringer finale
Sarah Michelle Gellar drama Ringer saw a small rise in ratings for its season finale but its likely still heading for cancellation.
At 8pm CBS‘s crime drama NCIS dominated the ratings as ever with 17.6 million viewers with a 3.0 rating while NBC‘s The Bigger Loser pulled in 6.8 million viewers with a 2.2 rating. A new episode of Glee saw Fox‘s musical comedy hit a new season low with 6.1 million viewers and a 2.4 rating while ABC‘s Last Man Standing had 6.4 million viewers with a 1.6 rating followed by Courtney Cox comedy Cougar Town which mustered 4.6 million viewers withy a 1.4 18-49 rating.
At 9pm The Voice on NBC attracted 8.7 million viewers with a 3.3 18-49 rating winning the hour though ABC claimed victory in terms of total viewers with Dancing with the Stars seen by 13.7 million viewers but with a 2.4 rating. A repeat on CBS of NCIS: Los Angeles also had more viewers with 13.7 million viewers while The Voice with 11.3 million viewers but had a 2.0 18-49 rating. On The CW drama series Ringer, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, drew to a close with 1.1 million viewers with a 0.5 rating. Ringer is likely to be cancelled by The CW as despite a reasonable start its ratings of the past few months have been bad and SMG’s name alone isn’t enough to save the series. On Fox comedy New Girl pulled in 5.3 million viewers with a 2.7 rating followed by Raising Hope with 3.9 million viewers and a 1.9 rating.
At 10pm medical drama Private Practice continued on ABC with 6.7 million viewers with a 1.7 18-49 rating. The Grey’s Anatomy spin-off is widely seen as being ‘on the bubble’ meaning it could be renewed or cancelled.
