France 24 journalist missing in Colombia

A France 24 journalist has gone missing in Colombia, thought to have been captured by FARC rebels.

Romeo Langlois who works for France 24, was accompanying a military and police patrol in Caqueta province, where the (FARC) Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia are active, the officials said.

“The French journalist was accompanying the army unit in the course of an anti-drug operation when the unit came under attack from FARC forces” – French embassy official speaking to France 24

Four Colombian soldiers and one police officer are also missing after an attack on a army convoy. Three soldiers and a police officer were killed during the attack.
