Britain's Got Talent live final details confirmed

ITV have revealed details about this year’s live final of Britain’s Got Talent.
The final of Britain’s Got Talent will air on Saturday 12 May at 7.30pm after initially announcing it would be at 6.30pm. ITV’s decision to announce the 6.30pm start made BBC One schedule The Voice UK even earlier. Their live show will now begin at 6.10pm.
Simon Cowell returned as a full time judge for this series alongside Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon.
Since The Voice UK launched on BBC One, both shows have been at the centre of a ‘ratings battle’. BBC began winning the battle but viewers began to dip during the first live show last week leading to Britain’s Got Talent had a slight victory over The Voice UK.
The Voice UK features Sir Tom Jones, Will.i.am, Jessie J and Danny O’Donoghue as coaches who are searching for an artist who has ‘the voice’. The show has been criticised in the press for the Sunday results show which is recorded on Saturday following the live performance show.
The winner of BGT will win £500,000 and a slot at the Royal Variety Performance in-front of the Royal family.
