Dom Joly returns to prank the nation
Comedian Dom Joly is returning to television with a new prank show for ITV1.
Fool Britannia turns the UK into Dom’s very own prank playground, poking fun at what it means to be British by unleashing a host of hilarious new characters and pranks.
“I am so excited to start filming Fool Britannia for ITV1. We start filming soon and this is a final warning- wherever you are in the UK- you’re not safe….” – Dom Joly
The show will be produced by ITV Studios and was ordered for ITV1 by John Kaye Cooper, Controller of Entertainment at ITV. He was last on ITV1 as a contestant on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in 2010 in which he finished in fourth place.
He rose to fame at the start of the millennium with Trigger Happy TV which ran on Channel 4. His most iconic hidden camera pranks featured him shouting ‘hello!’ loudly into a large mobile phone.
