Louis Walsh returning to X Factor

Louis Walsh is returning to The X Factor for the ninth time ITV have confirmed.
It was announced yesterday that the Irish judge will be back alongside Gary Barlow. Tulisa Contostavlos is expected back but Kelly Rowland confirmed she would not be returning following scheduling issues.

“I’m back! It’s my ninth year on the show and as the only remaining original judge I’m delighted to take my seat once more on the judging panel.” – Louis Walsh

Louis is the only original judge from when the reality show began in 2004. He won the following year with Shayne Ward, the only time he has won the competition.

“The show wouldn’t be the same without Louis, I am really happy he is coming back. I hope he has an opportunity this year to show what an astute manager he is.” – Simon Cowell

Simon left the show last year to focus on launching The X Factor USA.
