Natasha Kaplinsky to chair Global Mothers conference
ITV News and London Tonight news anchor Natasha Kaplinsky is to host a Global Mothers conference looking at where in the world is the best and worst places to be a mother.
The former Five News and BBC Breakfast newsreader will be joined by Carolyn Miles, President & CEO of Save the Children US, Indian author Jaishree Misra, Joke Silva a Nigerian Nollywood star and Indian Bollywood star Shabana Azmi.
Organisers of the debate, Save the Children, is also inviting the public to take part in a live interactive Video Conference with Global Influential Mothers to discuss the state of motherhood and child survival in 2012.
The event is set for May 8th during the week of Global Mother’s Day. The conference marks the launch of Save the Children’s thirteenth State of the World’s Mother’s report.
The annual report ranks the best and worst countries to be a mother today.
Over the hour of the conference, they will take live questions from the public via Twitter using #hiddencrisis.
