Kristian Alfonso signs new Days of our Lives deal

Actress Kristian Alfonso has signed a new deal to remain with NBC’s last remaining soap opera Days of our Lives.
According to The Hollywood Reporter Alfonso has signed a new deal to remain onboard the soap ending fan rumours that the actress would quit. Alfonso has been a cast member of Days since 1984, playing Hope Williams. Alfonso’s new contract comes at a time of changes behind-the-scenes at the NBC soap in the hope of securing its long-term future.
Lorraine Broderick, Gary Tomlin and Christopher Whitsell have been drafted in as head-writers following the exits of Marlene McPherson and Darrell Ray Thomas Jr. after less than a year. After it was announced that new head-writers had been appointed news broke that four actors would also leave the NBC series;  Matthew Ashford (Jack Deveraux), Patrick Muldoon (Austin Reed), Christine Clark (Carrie Brady) and Sarah Brown (Madison James)
