Desperate Housewives Finale Pulls In 11 Million Viewers
The grand finale of ABC‘s Desperate Housewives saw its ratings rise with over 11 million viewers tuning in.
8pm. The season finale of Once Upon A Time also benefited from a rise in ratings with 9.4 million viewers and a 3.2 rating compared with last week’s figures of 8.9 million viewers and a 3.0 18-49 rating. ABC confirmed during the week the fantasy drama starring Jennifer Morrison had been renewed for a second season. On CBS the season finale of Survivor: One World pulled in 10.2 million viewers with a 2.8 rating. The Simpson‘s on Fox attracted 4 million viewers with a 1.9 rating followed by Bob’s Burgers with 3.6 million viewers and a 1.8 18-49 rating. Kathy Bates drama Harry’s Law on NBC was seen by 7.6 million viewers with a 1.0 rating – the legal drama was officially axed by the broadcaster last week.
At 9pm the two-hour finale of Desperate Housewives on ABC saw quite a big rise in ratings. After eight years the antics of Wisteria Lane’s (often crazy) residents drew to a close as the stories of Bree (Marcia Cross), Lynette (Felicity Huffman), Susan (Teri Hatcher), Gabby (Eva Longoria) and Renee (Vanessa Williams) were tied up. The two-hour finale had 11.1 million viewers with a 3.2 18-49 rating which compares to last week’s figures of 9.3 million viewers and a 18-49 rating of 2.8. Elsewhere at 9pm Celebrity Apprentice on NBC attracted 5.4 million viewers with a 1.8 rating while Family Guy had 4.9 million viewers with a 2.3 18-49 rating followed by the season finale of American Dad on Fox which was seen by 4.1 million viewers with a 2.0 rating.
