Tributes pour in for disco Queen Donna Summer

Celebrities and fans of Donna Summer have been paying tribute.
The music world was rocked yesterday after the announcement that Donna Summer had died aged 63 after a battle with lung cancer. Many celebrities took to the internet to express their shock at her death. She is best known for her hits such as ‘I Feel Love’ and ‘This Time I Know It’s For Real’.
Elton John posted a statement on his official website saying that it was a ‘disgrace’ she had never been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

“I’m so sad. This woman was the queen of disco and so much more. Her records sound as good today as they ever did. That she has never been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a total disgrace especially when I see the second rate talent that has been inducted. She is a great friend to me and to the Elton John AIDS Foundation and I will miss her greatly.” – Elton John

Country music star Dolly Parton, Kylie Minogue and legendary producer Quincy Jones posted messages on their Twitter accounts.

“Rest in Peace dear Donna Summer. Your voice was the heartbeat and soundtrack of a decade.” – Quincy Jones
