Jack O’Connell Returning To Skins

Jack O’Connell has announced he will return to Skins for the seventh and final season of the E4 drama.

Channel Four announced earlier this year that Skins had been commissioned for a shortened seventh season which would wrap up the drama. When the renewal was announced it was expected that actors from across all “three generations” and six seasons would reprise their roles. Jack O’Connell, who played out-of-control James Cook in the third and fourth season, has announced he will reprise his role.

“Buzzin to get my cook out again on e4….Jamie Brittain’s writing him up as we speak so should make for a bangin skins. G’won Jim lad!” – Jack O’Connell

Skins co-creator Jamie Brittain has confirmed O’Connell’s return and teased fans they can expect more casting news soon. “I see that Jack OC has tweeted about Skins 7. So yes, he’s in it, and yes, I’m writing the script he’s in. I’m guessing we’ll do a proper announcement confirming cast etc pretty soon. Wont say anything yet, but I think you’ll be pleased.”

Fans of Skins are hoping to see favourites such as Nicholas Hoult, Hannah Murray, Mitch Hewer, Kaya Scodelario, Lily Loveless and Kathryn Prescott reprise their respective roles. The seventh and final series will air on 2013 and will consist of three films broken up across six episodes.
