Sanctuary Not Returning To Syfy

Fantasy/supernatural series Sanctuary will not return to Syfy for a fifth season.

The Amanda Tapping drama series will not be renewed for another reason, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. The fourth series of Sanctuary aired on Syfy last year and concluded its run in December.

Ratings for the fourth season of Sanctuary had been up on the third season which had run to 20 episodes instead of the usual 13 episodes. In the UK the series was aired on digital channel ITV4. The drama starred former Stargate actress Amanda Tapping alongside Ryan Robbins, Robin Dunne and Christopher Heyerdahl.
