Inbetweeners’ Blake Harrison enters the Big Bad World

Comedy Central has announced that The Inbetweeners star Blake Harrison is to join Men Behaving Badly actress Caroline Quentin and The Vicar Of Dibley’s James Fleet in a new sitcom, Big Bad World.

Sarah Farrell, Director of Content and Development, Comedy Central says: ‘It’s with huge excitement that we’re able to reveal the fabulous cast that this script and Objective have attracted. We can’t wait to see the finished programme and have very high hopes that this is our next big show.
“The UK is a hotbed for creative talent at the moment and we’re proud to be nurturing and supporting British content through our growing investment.”

The comedy is about what happens when you wait for life to begin. Ben Turnbull – played by Harrison – has just graduated and the world should be his oyster, but he quickly finds himself back in his hometown, nursing his, as yet, unformulated dreams.
He’s also back hanging out with the same hometown gang; a too-smart-for-her-own-good charity mugger, a guitar-obsessive bedsit-philosopher and University-refuser and unashamed year-round-wearer-of-shorts-and-flipflops. If it weren’t for the frequent overdraft charges, Ben might almost believe the last three years of his life never happened.
Big Bad World, which is currently the shows working title and may as yet be changed, is an Objective Productions programme for Comedy Central and is written by Joe Tucker and Lloyd Woolf, with additional episodes penned by Kevin Cecil and Andy Riley, Rose Heiney and Jon Purkis

Andrew Newman, CEO, Objective Productions says “It’s very exciting to be working with such a brilliant cast on a new project. Comedy Central already have many of the best comedy shows from around the world and we are very proud to be making a new British one for them.”

Also confirmed for the show are Rebecca Humphries of  Come Fly With Me fame, Game of Thrones’ David Fynn and Seann Walsh from Stand Up For The Week.
