Mrs Brown's Boys Wins BAFTA
Irish comedy Mrs Brown’s Boys written by and starring Brendan O’Carroll has won a BAFTA.
The brilliant BBC One/RTE comedy series stars Brendan O’Carroll as tough Irish matriarch Agnes Brown who rules her family with witty one-liners and the occasional slap.
Mrs Brown’s Boys picked up the Situation Comedy award beating new Channel 4 comedy Fresh Meat which starred Jack Whitehall, Joe Thomas and Kimberley Nixon.
A Christmas Special followed by a second series of Mrs Brown’s Boys aired on BBC One earlier this year to impressive ratings. Unsurprisingly the BBC were quick to commission a third season which will likely air next year on BBC One.
