James Frain Joins Grimm

British actor James Frain is to join the cast of NBC‘s dark fantasy drama Grimm.

Zap2It report the actor will join the cast of Grimm for its second season playing the role of Eric Renard, brother of Captain Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz). Grimm was recently picked up by NBC for a second season following its strong performance in the difficult Friday evening slot for the broadcaster.

Last year Frain played Peter Fleming/Chess in NBC’s short-lived superhero drama series The Cape. He appeared in the third season of HBO‘s True Blood as vampire Franklin who developed an unhealthy obsession with Tara (Rutina Wesley) which ultimately led to his gruesome death. Frain is probably best known to British audiences for his role of Thomas Cromwell in Showtime‘s historical drama The Tudors.
