Alesha Dixon Rules Out X Factor Move

Alesha Dixon has ruled herself out of the running for vacant X Factor judging role.

The singer says moving to the X Factor would be too “greedy”. Dixon defected from BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing to ITV1‘s Britain’s Got Talent for the most recent series of the talent competition which ended in May. Dixon joined the returning Simon Cowell on the panel alongside new judge David Walliams and original judge Amanda Holden.

With the departure of Kelly Rowlands from the X Factor some were quick to link Dixon to the role but the singer is keen to put some distance between herself and the show. Dixon is quoted in The Sun as saying ‘It’s not that I’m not interested but you don’t want to be too greedy. Britain’s Got Talent was hugely successful and I loved it, and Simon Cowell openly said he’d love to have the panel back. But I haven’t had a call. I wish whoever gets the job luck’

So far the X Factor has used guest judges as a temporary replacement for Rowlands while a permanent one is sort. Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole have both been tipped to return though so far both have denied the rumours.
