A guide to Diamond Jubilee celebrations on television

Today marks the start of the four day holiday to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Official celebrations begin Saturday with Her Majesty visiting the Epsom Downs racecourse. Coverage on BBC One begins at 12.50pm and the main race from 4.00pm.

Sunday will see the Thames Pageant, a flotilla of 1,000 boats will sail through the Thames in which 1 million spectators are expected to line the banks of the river. Coverage on BBC One begins at 1.30pm and Sky News will also have live coverage of the celebrations with Jubilee Sunrise from 6.00am. The BBC News Channel will show same output as BBC One.

CNN International will be showing live coverage from 4.00pm,  a simulcast with CNN US, in which Piers Morgan and Brooke Baldwin are in London to cover the events of the weekend.

The concert outside Buckingham Palace is exclusively on the BBC, with coverage starting from 7.30pm on Monday. The national beacon will be lit at around 10.30pm, which will also be seen on the news channels. Highlights of the concert will also be seen on ABC in America on Tuesday.

Tuesday is the official state occasion, featuring a service of thanksgiving, state procession and a flypast at the palace. Philip Schofield and Julie Etchingham will be teaming up for ITV 1’s non-stop coverage from 8.30am – 4.00pm.
BBC One have split their coverage with the thanksgiving between 9.15pm – 1.00pm and the procession from 1.30pm – 3.45pm. This will be followed by highlights of the concert. Sky News will also have live coverage from 6.00am
