Could it be a new double act? Squirrel & Young…
Will Young performed at a special intimate performance for Real Radio North West and Smooth Radio listeners in Manchester on Tuesday night with a surprise guest…
During the performance, which saw him in great spirits chatting and laughing with the small audience of around 200 listeners, a Real Radio listener passed a gift to Will on stage. Stating “I love presents,” Will dug into the bag and was delighted to find a lovely Squirrel glove puppet. So taken-a-back with the gift was he that he decided to let his newly named ‘Nutty’ sing the first two lines of his hit ‘Come On’ to the delight and amusement of the audience.
In an interview with Real Radio breakfast presenters Sam Walker and Lorna Bancroft broadcast today, Will admitted to hugging an oak tree at his home in Cornwall.
He said “sometimes walkers go by and they see me hugging it. That’s odd.” He also joked that he cried at Antiques Road Show. “I cry when Bunny Campione doesn’t come on. I just like her name and that she’s an expert on dolls.” Plus he harbours a desire to appear as a Morris Dancer in his videos but he’s never allowed to. He said “I don’t know why. They are beautiful, beautiful creatures. You can hear them before you can see them” he joked.
Real Radio North West can be found online, on DAB and on 105.4FM and Smooth Radio is available on FM in several regions and nationally on digital TV and DAB.
