Emilie De Ravin Promoted To Regular On Once Upon A Time

Emilie De Ravin is the latest actress to be promoted to the regular cast of ABC‘s fantasy drama On Once Upon A Time.

De Ravin appeared in three episodes of the first season of the drama playing Belle; the heroine of Beauty and the Beast. In Once Upon A Time the character of Belle was introduced in the 12th episode Skin Deep in which she agreed to be the servant of Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) in a deal to save her town from the Ogre war.

Belle fells in love with Rumplestiltskin but was rejected by him as he believed it to be a scheme of the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) even though he did have feelings for Belle. At the end of the episode it was revealed that Belle in Storybrooke is locked away by Regina; keeping her and Mr Gold – Rumplestiltskin’s counter-part in Storybrooke – separate.

De Ravin is the second recurring actress on the ABC drama to be promoted to the regular cast for its forthcoming second season. Meghan Ory who plays Red Riding Hood/Ruby has also been promoted. Prior to joining Once Upon A Time Emilie De Ravin was probably best known for her role of Caire Littleton in Lost and Tess Harding in Roswell High.
