8 Out Of 10 Cats receives boost following tax 'scandal'
8 Out Of 10 Cats received a boost on Friday following Jimmy Carr’s tax payment revelations.
The panel quiz show attracted an average of 2.5 million on Friday night, more than double what the show usually gets.
The extra boost came after host Jimmy Carr was at the centre of a tax row following newspaper revelations of a scheme he was part of to pay lower tax.
The story picked up momentum when Prime Minister David Cameron said what the comedian had done was ‘morally wrong’. Carr then took to Twitter to apologise for what had happened. On his show, which was the last in the series, he also reiterated his apology.
He was teased for much of the show by team captains Sean Lock and Jon Richardson.
