Sian Williams for Strictly Come Dancing?
Former Breakfast presenter Sian Williams is reportedly being lined up for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Williams bowed out of BBC One’s Breakfast in March ahead of its move to Salford as part of the corporation’s plans to move production away from London. Following her departure from Breakfast Williams was made co-presenter on Saturday Live, on Radio 4, alongside Richard Coles. The popular Saturday morning magazine/discussion series was revamped and expanded with William’s arrival.
Tabloid newspaper The Sun claims the presenter will be amongst the celebrity line-up for the next series of Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One. A ‘source’ told the tabloid ‘She is hugely popular with BBC viewers and is fit as a fiddle so we want her on the dancefloor’.
Although the new series of Strictly is several months away celebrities are already being linked to it. Actress Charlie Brooks, who is exiting EastEnders for several months, will reportedly take part while Fern Britton and Michael Vaughan have also been linked to the new series. Last week it was revealed Karen Hauer would join the series as a new professional dancer replacing Katya Virshilas.
