CBS Renews Unforgettable

CBS has revived and renewed its crime drama Unforgettable for a second series.

Unforgettable is no longer cancelled – CBS has had a change of heart and renewed the series. The police drama debuted on CBS last September and concluded its first series in May – it attracted average ratings across its run. At the conclusion of the first series CBS decided not to renew the drama for a second season in order to make room for its new slate of commissions such as Elementary and Vegas.

However, the drama, which stars Poppy Montgomery, attracted the attention of cable broadcasters Lifetime and TNT both of which began talks to acquire the series. CBS then decided it was interested in continuing the series after all and reports surfaced earlier this month over a possible revival for the drama.

It has now been confirmed that Unforgettable will indeed life on and on CBS; the broadcaster has ordered 13 episodes for Summer 2013.
