BBC jubilee coverage receives over 2,000 complaints

The BBC has received over 2,000 complaints regarding their jubilee coverage.
Many newspapers picked up on comments from Twitter and other social networking sites, criticising the BBC’s coverage.
Alan Yentob, BBC creative director, has said that it is ‘fair to criticise’ some of their coverage, with many of the complaints over the four-day bank holiday weekend being about the Thames river pageant which took place on Sunday.
The BBC have been quick to point out the high number of viewers who watched the BBC’s coverage of events, including the concert which attracted a peak of 17 million viewers on Monday evening.
Yesterday, BBC One topped the ratings during the day for the Queen’s service of thanksgiving, procession and balcony appearance.

  • what a disasterous & totally boring inane commentory on BBC for the river pageant. Where did they find these 10th rate presenters to present such an important event? Who was the slightest bit interested in the female commentaters father (who-ever she was!) Not of public interest in any way , Please find presentors with the gravitas for the occasion in future, as these inane self important presenters were only suitable for trivial shows, not moments of national & historical importance
