Brent Spiner to Join Warehouse 13

Star Trek: The Next Generation actor Brent Spiner is to guest star in Syfy‘s Warehouse 13.

The actor has signed up for a multi-episode stint in the forthcoming fourth season of Warehouse 13. Spiner will appear in at least six episodes – possibly more – as Brother Adrian: the leader of a secret sect called the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Black Diamond – a bit of a mouthful!

“The Brotherhood is descended from the Knights Templar and connected to the Vatican. It is charged with the protection of many powerful artifacts, one of which Artie desperately needs to make everything right again. [But], the use of this object will unleash an incredible evil and Brother Adrian is not about to see that happen. He heads a sect that is powerful and obsessively devoted and follows no rules. The Brotherhood will do anything to achieve its goals. They are gifted fighters who are willing to go to their deaths, if necessary.” – Producer Jack Kenny quoted by TV Guide

Brent Spiner is, of course, still known for playing the android Data in all seven seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation and its subsequent feature-length films. The actor also guest starred in several episodes of prequel series Enterprise. Away from the world of Trek the actor appeared in the short-lived sci-fi series Threshold in 2005 and also appeared in the sci-fi blockbuster Independence Day.

Spiner is not the first Trek actor to guest star in Warehouse 13; last year Kate Mulgrew appeared in four episodes as Jane Lattimer, Jeri Ryan guest-starred in a single episode last year and Rene Auberjonois has guest-starred in two episodes.
