The long-running comedy series is, of course, based on the BBC comedy of the same name. NBC recently renewed The Office for a ninth season, believed to consist of 22 episodes, despite a drop in ratings.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed a news story by TV Line that actress Catherine Tate will be part of the regular cast for The Office‘s ninth season. The British actress will reprise her role of Nellie Bertram a role she first played in the season seven finale Search Committee. Tate subsequently reprised the role for a string of episodes in the comedy’s 8th season.
